- The FAA Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) research program has a towing and aircraft modification requirement regarding an L1011 aircraft. Additional details can be found in the attached document. This requirement is a full and open competition under NAICS code 488190, OTHER SUPPORT ACTIVITIES FOR AIR TRANSPORTATION. For informational purposes, the size standard for this NAICS code is $30 million. Companies interested submitting a proposal for this requirement must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM). If you believe your company is capable of accomplishing the work requested, please send a request, in writing, to be included in the list of invited bidders. The request must be directed to the Contracting Officer @ Lori.McLaughlin@faa.gov no later than than 4 pm local time on March 18, 2013. Questions regarding this requirement must also submitted in writing, and will be entertained until the aforementioned date and time. Answers to submitted questions will be provided to all interested parties, unless requested otherwise for proprietary or other specific reason(s). No phone calls, please.
