- NOAA's Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory (PMEL) has a requirement for acoustic release transponders. The contractor shall provide all personnel, supervision, and equipment necessary to provide the acoustic release transponders. A single award may be made for an Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) type contract in which delivery orders will be issued for specific requirements. Delivery orders will be performed at the contractor's facility. Award will be made for a one-year base period and four additional one-year option periods, for a maximum performance period of five years. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this procurement is 334511 and the size standard is 750 employees. The requirements will be described in the Statement of Work, any of which are subject to change at the Government's discretion upon issuance of the solicitation. Some of the potential requirements are the following: Contract Line Item Numbers (CLIN) 0001-0005 - The contractor must provide a firm fixed price for each unit to provide acoustic release transponders as per the specification: The exercise of any option periods are at the discretion of the government. All responsible and fully responsive sources may submit a quote which will be considered by the Agency. Any resulting contract will be awarded as a firm-fixed price IDIQ contract. Solicitation documents will be made available for download on or around March 20, 2013 at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. Paper copies of this solicitation will not be issued. Interested parties should use the FedBizOpps [Add To Watchlist] and [Add Me To Interested Vendors] features which provide a notification when the RFQ becomes available for download as well as all postings of information associated with this solicitation, thereafter. Each potential offeror is responsible for checking the FedBizOpps website to gain all current information related to the solicitation. The solicitation and any further announcements regarding the solicitation will be posted only at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/.
