THIS OPPORTUNITY IS AVAILABLE ONLY TO CONTRACTORS WHO MEET THE TOTAL SMALL BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS. quote mark This is a Pre-solicitation Notice for a Total Small Business Set-A-side for Single Award Contract in support of Red River Army Depot, Texarkana, TX. Please note that this Pre-Solicitation notification informs the Small Business community a solicitation will be forthcoming and open to interested small business vendors who shall submit a proposal to be evaluated for a contract award. All questions regarding this announcement should be submitted in writing to the following E-Mail address: debbie.paytonthornton@us.army.mil. SITE VISIT: The site visit date, time, location and contact information will be in the solicitation when posted. Interested parties whom may attend the site visit will be required to submit information in accordance with the solicitation. Contract will be a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) for Red River Army Depot. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this program is 236220, Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. Point of Contact for this requirement: Ms. Debbie Payton-Thornton. Project 1 Bldg 441 South o3 - 1 Ton bridge cranes 2.2.1 Install in-floor foundation for bridge crane support columns in accordance with RRAD drawing E-4464. -PE, and with manufactures instructions. Insure that all rail ways are in alignment and level. o12 - 12 Ton jib crane Procure and install Bridge and Jib cranes per attached specifications and drawing E-4464.01-PE. Note L shaped ton jib cranes will be column mounted on the bridge crane structure columns. Modification of column structure. Project 2 Bldg 345 o1 - 2 Ton monorail crane This specification covers the requirements for one (1) top running, low headroom, electric powered, monorail, 2 ton capacity, with one each 2 ton capacity top running motorized trolley complete with motor, controls, and pushbutton pendant and radio remote control units, on approximately 25' beam at a height of approximately 16', complete with all necessary hangers and clamps to be supplied, assembled and installed on metal support columns anchored to the existing floor and connected(clamped) to existing concrete columns with channel iron clamps at the uppermost section of the support columns. anchoring beams to existing floors and clamping to existing concrete columns. o1 - 4 Ton bridge crane This specification describes the requirements for one (1) CMAA class quote mark C quote mark top running, low headroom, electric powered, bridge crane system. The system is to be 4 ton capacity, with two each 2 ton capacity top running single girder bridges, bridge trucks, bridge drives, hoists, hoist trolleys, hoist drives and hoist trolley drives, complete with motors, controls, and pushbutton pendant and radio remote control units. The crane will consist of approximately 45' freestanding runway system 90' of runway beam and ASCE rail and 45' runway electrification, installed at a height of approximately 16 feet from floor to top of highest portion of crane system, complete with all necessary hangers and clamps to be supplied, assembled and installed on metal support columns anchored to the existing floor and connected (clamped) to existing concrete columns with channel iron clamps at the uppermost section of the support columns. These clamps will also be supplied by vendor. The vendor is responsible to provide, install and make this equipment operational. anchoring beams to existing floors and clamping to existing concrete columns. Project 3 Bldg 407 o1 - 10 Ton bridge crane This specification covers the requirements for one (1) CMAA class quote mark D quote mark top running double girder, electric powered, low headroom, bridge crane, 10-Ton capacity, with bridge, trucks, bridge drive, hoist, hoist trolley, hoist drive and hoist trolley drive, complete with motors, controls, and pushbutton pendant and radio remote control units, on approximately 100' freestanding runway system 200' of runway beam and ASCE rail and 100 quote mark runway electrification, complete with all necessary hangers and clamps to be supplied, assembled and installed on existing concrete piers as well as piers supplied by vendor. These supplied piers will be designed to attach the new crane's foundation pier top to the Canopy's foundation top (above the finished floors). The vendor is responsible to provide, install and make this equipment operational The Contractor shall supply a foundation design that will be approved by Walter A. Wheeler in DPW Division, Engineering Branch The Canopy foundations, at a minimum, are a 24 quote mark diameter, 15' minimum embedment Drilled Piers with a 4' diameter bell at the bottom. The rebar in the Drilled Pier and Foundation top above ground is 10 bars of #8 longitudinal bars with 3 each, #4 ties in the top 5 quote mark of the foundation top and from then on a #4 tie at 12 quote mark oc. If the Canopy's anchor bolts are not within the longitudinal rebar ties an addition 3 each, #4 ties enclose the anchor bolts and longitudinal rebar. And they start 2 quote mark below top of the concrete pier and are 2 quote mark oc from there. Design shall show that the canopies' drilled pier foundation can support the vertical, horizontal and moment loads of the crane and canopy. The scope calls clearly for the contractor to make modifications to the existing concrete foundation and install piers to support the crane. Suggested specification for crane hooks: 3.6.3 Hoist Hook Design All lifting hooks supplied will hoist or individually will be forged alloy steel hooks manufactured and load tested in accordance with ASME B30.10. Style and maximum dimensional size of hooks will be accordance with DIN 15401 Class quote mark T quote mark or Class quote mark V quote mark single point hooks and size selection will be matched to hoist capacity. quote mark Oversized quote mark hooks (i.e. 3 ton rating used with 1 ton hoist) are not authorized. Any variations from the above standards will require a signed pre-approval of submitted, dimensional drawings and specifications of proposed hook design. Previous sales of a given hook design prior to Oct 10, 2012 will not be considered a pre-approval.
