- PLEASE NOTE THIS IS THE PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE, NOT THE ACTUAL SOLICITATION. This is a Preliminary announcement regarding Training Aids Devices Simulators and Support Services at Fort Rucker, Alabama AL. The goal is to obtain a performance-based contract to provide all personnel, labor, expertise, tools, maintenance, equipment, parts, materials, supplies, and services in support of the Device Branch, Training Division, Directorate of Plans, Training, Mobilization, and Security (DPTMS). Target start date will be 1 October 2013. Specifications/Performance Work Statement will be included in the solicitation. This is a commercial acquisition. The Government anticipates issuing an Invitation for Bid (IFB) on or about March 8, 2013. Should an IFB be issued, it will be issued under this announcement number. The requirement is 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisitions 561210. The Federal Classification Code is R699, Facilities Support Services. The Small Business Size Standard is $35,500,000. The solicitation will be posted to the Army Single Face to Industry web page http://acquisition.army.mil. It is the responsibility of the offeror to review the web page for notice of amendments, updates or changes to the solicitation. No hard copies will be mailed. All potential sources must obtain a DUNS number and register in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to transact business with the government. Failure to obtain a DUNS number and register in the SAM may result in the delay of award of a contract or possible award to the next otherwise successful offeror who is registered in the SAM at the time of award.
