- The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) intends to award a firm-fixed price purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures for the purchase of three (3) lenses, model numbers VH-Z00W, VH-z20W and VH-Z100UW; one (1) motorized stage, model number VHX-S90BE; and various accessories, for a Keyence model VHX-2000E Digital Microscope. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source, Keyence Corporation of America, because they are the original manufacturer and the accessories are the only products that are compatible with their microscope. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement no later than 28 Feb 2013. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
