Offerors are free to visit the project sites at their own convenience during daylight hours.IDIQ for Cultural Resources Services for the National Forests in Alabama: PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Provide all aspects of professional cultural resources services for a wide variety of activities on National Forest land in Alabama. The primary tasks will be archeological survey and site evaluation. Additional tasks may include but are not limited to historic buildings inventory and evaluation, artifact analysis, collection management, preparation of National Register of Historic Places nominations, and so forth. Initial price proposals will be requested on one project for timber sale cultural resource surveys for the Make Sure Timber Sale and is in the area of Guinn Hunter Camp on the Talladega Ranger District. There are 7 units associated with this time sale. All 307 acres are thinning cuts. (Additional information will be provided with the solicitation documents) This solicitation will result in the award of multiple indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity task order contracts with one base period and four option years that may be exercised at the discretion of the Government. The guaranteed minimum amount for each awarded contract, inclusive of the base and all option periods, will be $2,000 and the combined value of the contract for all awards shall not exceed $950,000 over the base period and four option years. All work sites will be located within the administrative boundaries of the National Forests in Alabama. SOLICITATION DOCUMENTS, SPECIFICATIONS, AND DRAWINGS: The solicitation, AG-4146-S-13-0004 and related documents will be issued via FedBizOpps and will be available for downloading on or about 2/1/2013 The size standard for this solicitation is $14 million under NAICS code 541990. The solicitation will be set-aside for small business concerns. Solicitation should be available on this web site on or about Feb 1, 2013. If a site visit is held, information will be included in the solicitation. Offerors must register on the site in order to receive notification of changes to the solicitation. The offeror is responsible for monitoring this site for release of the solicitation and any subsequent postings.
