- Hospital Linen Services The contractor shall, except as specified in the Performance Work Statement as Government furnished property or services, provide all labor, equipment, supervision, management, supplies, bulk delivery carts, transportation, and facilities necessary to perform bulk hospital laundry and linen services at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho. Laundering services shall be provided at the contractor-owned and operated facility. Services shall include laundering, pick-up, and delivery of linens by contractor personnel. In order to be evaluated for award, the contractor shall meet OSHA Standards 29 CFR 1910.1030 (Blood Borne Pathogens), NIOSH 2000-135 (What Every Worker Should Know: How to Protect Yourself From Needle Stick Injuries), The Guidelines for Healthcare Linen Service - 2003 (The Guidelines for Healthcare Services), Health Care Infection Control Practices Advisory Committee (Guidelines for Environmental Infection Control in Healthcare Facilities). The solicitation will result in a firm fixed-price contract with a base year and four (4) one-year options. Base year period of performance will be from 01 May 13 through 30 Apr 14. This acquisition is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this solicitation is 812320 and the small business size standard is $5,000,000. A formal Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about 25 Feb 13 via Fed Biz Opps (FBO). All prospective offerors are encouraged to register for notification through FBO to obtain any amendments or other information pertaining to this solicitation. All offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (https://www.sam.gov/) in order to be eligible for award. If you had an active record in CCR, you have an active record in SAM. You do not need to do anything in SAM at this time, unless a change in your business circumstances requires a change in SAM in order for you to be paid or to receive an award. If you are not registered in CCR you will need to register in SAM to meet the requirements found in the applicable provisions and clauses related to CCR registration. Registration requires a DUNS number and may take up to three weeks to process. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award.
