- The Department of Veterans Affairs, NCO 1, Contracting Activity intends to solicit a requirement for the VA Medical Center, Bedford, MA to procure a wireless fall watch protection system consisting of wireless consoles in nurses' station and equipping bedside wireless signal units, (RN+ FallwatchII), brand name or equal. All equipment and materials provided shall be new and unused and the most current model or revision. No remanufactured or "grey market items". All items must be covered by the manufacturer's warranty. System set up and programming shall be consistent with VAMC Bedford's standards and vendor shall also provide training of staff in both operation and programming of consoles and wireless signal units. The Government seeks to award a firm fixed price contract resulting from this solicitation to a responsible offeror who proposal conforms to the solicitation and requirements and provides the best value to the Government with price and other factors considered. This requirement is set-aside for small business concerns, the applicable NAICS (North American Industrial Classification System) code is 339112 the small business size standard is 500 employees. Interested vendors must submit any questions concerning this solicitation in writing to the Contract Specialist, at Leanne.daniels@va.gov. Questions not received within a reasonable time prior to the close of the solicitation may not be considered. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database before an award can be made to them. If the offeror is not registered in the SAM database, they may do so thru the SAM website at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM. Failure to register in SAM will preclude an award being made to your company. The solicitation for this requirement will be posted on or about February 15, 2013.
