- As a result of industry feedback, the Government believes there may be a need to re-evaluate the labor categories and possibly make two separate lists; one for the manufacturing side and one for the design/development side. The case has been made that the engineers proposed for manufacturing (prototyping and such) are/may be priced differently than the analytical engineers proposed on the design development side. Taking the current D3I labor categories into consideration, please suggest additional/delineation of labor categories (please include descriptions) that the Government can take into consideration when making a determination as to whether the labor categories need to be revised and which new labor categories will need to be added. Please provide responses by Wednesday February 20, 2013 to melissa.d.mitchell.civ@mail.mil. The current labor category list is attached.
