- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) intends to award a single source Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (ID/IQ) contract to General Dynamics Global Imaging Technologies (GDGIT), 24 Simon Street, Nashua NH. The Federal Aviation Administration Logistics Center (FAALC) has a requirement to establish organic (in-house) repair capability for the Z-1000 Long-Range Thermal Imaging Camera (manufactured by GDGIT) in support of Customs and Border Protection (CBP). Purpose of Announcement: In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System paragraph 3.2.2.4, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. GDGIT, as the manufacturer of the Z-1000 camera, maintains all proprietary rights and data necessary to repair the Z-1000 series camera. FAALC requires the necessary data, engineering services, training, and spares to establish and maintain organic repair capability. The anticipated contract will contain a one-year basic period and four one-year options. The total estimated value (inclusive of all options) of this contract is $1,943,176. The proposed NAICs code for this acquisition is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, with a size standard of $19M. This announcement is for informational purposes only, not a Solicitation/Request for Proposal. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts.
