- Description
- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR), in support of the Fleet Readiness Directorate (FRD), intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the Navigation Sensor System Interface (NAVSSI) program. NAVSSI collects, processes, integrates and formats for distribution precise navigation and timing data to weapon systems, combat support systems, C4ISR systems and other information systems users. NAVSSI is currently fielding its fourth technical refresh designated "Block 4". The NAVSSI Block 4 configurations include Block 4.2.1, Block 4.2.2, and Block 4.2.3. The Navy's requirement is for Block 4 NAVSSI System Shipsets and Retrofits for the DDG, CG, LHD, LHA, LSD, LPD, CVN and USCG WMSL ship classes. The contract(s) will provide hardware that includes NAVSSI systems, upgrade kits, optional hardware kits, replacement parts, and spares. The procurement methodology is a Small Business Set-Aside, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity, Multiple Award Contract. The contract(s) will have a total period of performance of 6 years. The anticipated solicitation release date is April 2013. The solicitation may be issued without further notice and will be available on the SPAWAR E-Commerce website: https://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil. It is the responsibility of the interested parties to independently review this web page frequently for updates to any and all documents. Potential offerors will be responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation and amendments (if any). No paper copies of these documents will be issued.
