- The purpose of this amendment is to make the following clarifications: A) As previously stated in the originally posted Sources Sought the purpose of this outreach is to identify small businesses in an effort to establish a database of vendors that are capable of performing the types of work listed below. It is not associated with any specific requirement. A solicitation is not being issued at this time and this notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. B) The NAICS Code applicable to this Sources Sought is 541720-Research and Development in the Social Sciences and Humanities - $19.0 million (size standard). C) The six page Past Performance is in addition to the two to five page Capabilities Statement for a maximum of eleven (11) pages. D) With regards to "identification of concerns with this Sources Sought which would prevent proposing on the project", FNS is not referring to any specific issue but is seeking information on what may bar or prevent a Small Business from responding to a requirement. E) Please send all capabilities statements to smallbusiness@fns.usda.gov. Only questions regarding this Sources Sought should be sent directly to the Contract Specialist listed. The closing date is now extended until March 13, 2013 by 5:00 p.m. EST.
