- SOURCES SOUGHT FOR PURCHASE, INSTALLATION, AND REMOVAL OF LAW ENFORCEMENT EQUIPMENT ON PATROL CARS AT FORT GREELY, ALASKA. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL. This is a market research tool (FAR Part 10) being used to determine the potential firms capable of providing the supplies and services described herein prior to determining the method of acquisition and issuance of a Request for Proposal. Feedback is encouraged and appreciated. The 413th Contracting Support Brigade, Regional Contracting Office Fort Wainwright Alaska, is seeking information on sources to provide all labor, transportation, equipment, and supplies for the purchase and installation on new patrol vehicles of sirens, lightbars, gunracks, mooselights, and other specialized law enforcement equipment and removal of the same type of items off old patrol vehicles. All work will be done on-site at the Fort Greely military installation which is located approximately 140 miles from Fairbanks, Alaska. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code contemplated for this service is 336320, vehicular Lighting Fixtures Manufacturing. The SB size standard for this code is 500 employees, however respondents may identify other potential NAICS codes and the reasoning to support the recommendation. This notice is not designed to discourage competition from any business interested in this requirement. Since the current capabilities must be confirmed, all eligible large and small businesses are encouraged to respond. The Government is not obligated and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this Sources Sought notice. Respondents WILL NOT be notified of the results of this sources sought survey. If and when a solicitation is issued it will be posted on www.fedbizops.gov. It is the respondent's responsibility to monitor this site for the release of any synopsis or solicitation. All contract work will be completed through individual Call Orders on a Blanket Purchase Agreement to be awarded to one contractor only. The term of the Blanket Purchase Agreement is expected to be for approximately 5 years. Awardee will be required to be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database and Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF). Interested parties responding to this sources sought request shall submit the following information at a minimum: (1) company name and mailing address (2) organizational point of contact to include name, telephone number and e-mail address (3) DUNS Number and Cage Code (4) Business size under NAICS 811118 (5) Title your request with the wording quote mark Purchase and Install Equipment on Ft. Greely Patrol Vehicles quote mark Responses to this notice must be received by this office no later than 1:00 PM (AKST) on February 15, 2013. Submissions can be faxed to 907-353-7302 or sent electronically to verena.w.hawkes.civ@mail.mil. The Government will not award a purchase order or contract based upon vendor responses to this announcement. The Government shall not assume any costs for preparing or submitting any information in response to the market survey or the Government's use of the information. Any proprietary information should be clearly identified as quote mark proprietary information quote mark. This sources sought/request for information does not constitute an invitation for bids, request for proposal, and should not be construed as a commitment by the government to issue an order/contract or otherwise pay for the information solicited. This notice is for information and planning purposes only and does not commit the Government to any contractual agreement.
