- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas, intends to issue a solicitation for the provision of Generator Maintenance Services for the South Central Regional Office for trailer mounted emergency diesel generators located at Federal Correctional Institution Fort Worth, 3150 Horton Road, Fort Worth, Texas. It is anticipated that this RFQ will result in award to a responsible quoter of a single indefinite delivery/requirements contract with firm-fixed unit prices. The contract shall consist of a 12 month base period and the possibility of four 12 month option periods. The contractor shall provide all the labor, material, and supervision as required to perform an estimated eleven monthly preventive maintenance and one annual preventative maintenance and load testing (required on eight of the generators) on the following sixteen emergency generators: 2-1750kw Caterpillar, 1-1000kw Detroit, 3-1000kw Cummins, 1-600kw Caterpillar, 1- 400kw Bektor, 2-350kw John Deere, 6-20kw HDKCD Onan/Cummins. The solicitation will be available on or about February 13, 2013 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administrations Federal Business Opportunities website at www.fedbizopps.gov. All future information concerning this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will be distributed solely through this website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure you have the most up to date information about this acquisition. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be available. The website provides all downloading instructions to obtain a copy of the solicitation. The anticipated date for receipt of bids is 2:00 p.m. CT on March 7, 2013. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code is 811310 and the applicable small business size standard is $7.0 million. This requirement will be set aside for small businesses. All contractors doing business with the Federal Government must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. The website for registration is www.sam.gov. Faith-Based and Community Based Organizations have the right to submit offers/quotes equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
