- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT The U.S. Department of Energy, Western Area Power Administration (WAPA), Sierra-Nevada Regional Office (SNR), intends to award a sole-source award for maintenance for MV 90 XI Annual Software Maintenance to Itron, Inc. located at 2111 N Molter Rd, Liberty Lake WA 99019. The contract will result in a firm fixed price purchase order. This being conducted under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1). Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Government will not be responsible for any cost incurred in preparation of proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. However, all interest and capability statements must be received by the Government no later than 5 February, at 6:00 AM PST to be considered. Only Itron, Inc. has the unique, proprietary knowledge of the support needed by WAPA. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541519; Size Standard is $25.5 mil.
