- SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT: The Department of Veterans Affairs, Erie VA Medical Center, 135 East 38th Street, Erie, PA 16504, is seeking to obtain information on cart washers. This is not a request for competitive quotes. It is a notice to obtain possible sources that have the capacity and capability of providing cart washers. Several characteristics are listed below. If your company can provide a cart washer that meets these characteristics, please submit the following information to Jennifer Balsiger, Contracting Officer, at Jennifer.balsiger2@va.gov, no later than January 30, 2013 at 3:00 PM EST. Information to Submit "GSA Schedule, if applicable "Socioeconomic status of your company "List of federal contracts held by your company "Confirmation that your company is listed in SAM "Product brochures and other publically-available information on the product Salient Characteristics "Uses steam to attain the operational temperature of the water for cleaning/disinfecting "Capable of attaining a minimum temperature of 180 degrees Fahrenheit on the rinse cycle for disinfection (reference ANSI/AAMI ST797.2.6) "Capable of providing enzymatic cleaning "Has a drying cycle to dry the carts at the end of the disinfection cycle "Capable of manual operation with operator programmed cycles and pre-programmed cycles, with temperature and cycle time adjustable by the operator "Provides a print-out of each cycle to document the process "Has glass windows in doors to visualize the cycle in progress "Has audible and visual alarms for malfunctions "Outer walls must be made of stainless steel construction for durability and cleaning, and must cover the area from the floor to the suspended ceiling "Washer must be a pass-through design to allow carts to move from the decontamination room into the washer and exit outside of the decontamination room "Existing washer has 220 volts and 115 volts provided to the washer "Existing washer is connected to cold water supply and medium pressure steam "Dimensions: Exterior 110"H x 73"W x 88L; Interior 87"H x 50"W x 86"L; Sump pit: 11.5" deep "Must be able to fit into the existing room without disrupting the work flow. A floor plan is attached. Site visits are not authorized "Optional connectability to the Censis Track Instrument Tracking System - specify in your response if your product will connect "Must be able to fit into the area without exposing the existing telephone/data lines to excessive heat "Pictures of the existing exhaust duct, steam and water connections are attached ?
