Description
The Boise, ID VA Medical Center (BVAMC) is seeking the following professional services: Project Scope: Laboratory tests sent to the TVL are for clinical purposes to determine illness or disease in Veteran patients. Tests are sent because of a need for a rapid response and also for quality and continuity of care. This contract provides for clinical services that are contingent upon the discretion of BVAMC clinical contractors. Data produced by this contract shall be managed by the BVAMC Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service. Utilization of the service is extra-departmental in nature and therefore cannot be predicted. This is a service to medical care contract for the BVAMC to provide diagnosis and treatment of veteran patients. A Statement of Work (SOW) shall be included in the solicitation. The Request for Quotations number is VA260-13-Q-0262. Cascading set-aside procedures shall be in effect, reviewing small business sources respectively. A determination shall be made by the Contracting Officer as to the adequacy of sources in the aforementioned category. If there are not sufficient sources in the aforementioned category then the field shall be open to all responsible businesses. Firms offering a response to this notice should ensure that their registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) database https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ is current and should ensure that the applicable NAICS code (621511) is included in the SAM profile prior to submission of quotations. The anticipated start date of this contract is 02/01/2013; and it is estimated that the contract shall run through 09/30/2013, with 4 possible Option Years to exercise. The solicitation shall result in the award of a single contract. The resulting contract shall be a firm fixed-price contract.
