- Microwave Reactor Specifications Memo Sources Sought Microwave Reactor SS_F4AB002292A001 1.0 DESCRIPTION 1.1 The 325th Contracting Squadron is seeking information from industry regarding microwave reactor and accessories. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334516. 1.2 THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ONLY. This Sources Sought is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a Request for Quotation (RFQ) or a promise to issue an RFQ in the future. Responses to this Sources Sought are not offers and do not commit the Government to a contract for any supply or service whatsoever. At this time, the Air Force is not seeking quotes and will not accept unsolicited quotes. Respondents are advised that the U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this Sources Sought and that all costs incurred or associated with responding to this Sources Sought will be solely at the interested party's expense. Small businesses having the capabilities to perform the tasking below are encouraged to reply to this Sources Sought. Not responding to this Sources Sought does not preclude participation in any future RFQ, if any is issued. If an RFQ is issued, it will be solicited on the Federal Business Opportunities website at https://www.fbo.gov. It is the responsibility of the potential responders to monitor this site for additional information pertaining to this Sources Sought. 2.0 REQUIRED RESPONSE TO THIS NOTICE Interested parties are required to respond via e-mail to each of the items below: a) Data sheets on single magnetron microwave reactors demonstrating the potential to meet the aforementioned DRAFT performance characteristics. b) Estimated length of time required to produce and deliver said microwave reactor once an order is received. c) Current users of similar microwave reactors in similar use environments, to include Department of Defense customers, state government customers, domestic and/or international aid organization customers, etc. d) Customary packaging, handling, and storage practices. e) Process for handling upgrades and addressing obsolescence. f) Customary warranty terms and practices. g) Description of quality controls and processes, to include verification of quality for incoming materials. h) Repair/spare parts availability and lead times on such items. i) Indicate your company's business size, socio-economic status and the extent for which your company can include Small Business, Small Disadvantaged Business, HUBZone Small Business, Women-owned, Veteran-owned, or 8(a) participation status to support possible set-aside decisions for any future procurement. j) Identify CAGE code. k) Complete point of contact information, including phone number, e-mail address, and position within the company for the individual to be the single contact between the Government and the interested party on all matters. 3.0 RESPONSE SUBMITTAL Responses are due not later than 8 February 2013, 12:00 (Noon) p.m. Central Standard Time (CST).
