- The Army Contracting Command - Rock Island intends to modify contract W560MY-11-C-0005 to extend the period of performance for STOL/LCLA Aerial Resupply Services in the Afghanistan Area of Responsibility (AOR). The proposed action is to issue a contract modification for four months from 27 February 2013 to 30 June 2013 in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The current contract expires 26 February 2013. The extension is necessary to ensure continuation of services after 26 February 2013 and to avoid disruption of critical services until the competitive follow-on contract is awarded. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. Not awarding this extension would cause serious harm to the Government. However, the Government will consider responses from all responsible sources received by the date and time identified. Written responses must include sufficient information to establish capability to fulfill the requirement in the timeframe required. Any responses received will only be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in lieu of the sole source extension described in this notice, and such determination shall be made at the sole discretion of Amber L.
