- Description
- The Department of Veterans Affairs, Aleda E. Lutz VA Healthcare System, 1500 Weiss Street, Saginaw, Michigan, 48604 anticipates soliciting bids and consequently awarding a contract for the construction project known as "Domestic Water Replacement & Restroom Renovations." The solicitation will be conducted in accordance with FAR Part 14 (SEALED BIDDING) and Part 36 (CONSTRUCTION) and will be evaluated in accordance with the procedures therein. The solicitation will be advertised as a Total Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. The contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, supplies, travel, etc. to perform all work under this project which consists of: STATEMENT OF WORK DOMESTIC WATER REPLACEMENT & RESTROOM RENOVATIONS VA PROJECT NO.: 655-11-102 The purpose of this project is to completely prepare for building operations, including demolition and removal of existing infrastructure, and furnish labor and materials and perform work for Restroom Renovations (Building 1, 2, 3, 4) and complete domestic water and sanitary replacement (Building 1), located at Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center, Saginaw, Michigan as required by drawings and specifications. Contractor shall remove and replace building plumbing, wiring, controls and associated components to provide complete Restroom Renovations and domestic water sanitary replacement. Work includes general construction, carpentry, demolition, electrical, plumbing, fire protection and piping. Contractor shall follow all applicable building codes. The contractor is responsible to perform a site survey and investigation to satisfy themselves as to the extent of the work. The period of performance is 480 calendar days for the entire project. Magnitude of construction is expected to be $2,000,000 to $5,000,000 NAICS Code for this acquisition is 236220. The solicitation documents including specifications and drawings will be issued on or about 5-1-2012 and will be posted on Federal Business Opportunities. This date is subject to change. Hard copy documents including drawings will not be available - all documents for bidding purposes will be posted at this website for download. Site visit information will be provided upon issuance of solicitation. Only one site visit is planned. Bids will be due 30 days after issuance of solicitation unless extended by amendment. This notice is for informational purposes only and is not a request for submission of offers. The Government is not obligated to issue a solicitation as a result of this notice.
