Description
PR No: 0047651033; this solicitation will contain 1 NSN (5855-01-246-8266) for a Headset Assembly. This solicitation will be for a firm fixed price, definite quantity contract for a quantity of 38,015 each under FAR Part 12 for commercial acquisitions. A 100% Quantity Option applies. Solicitation will be issued as unrestricted, other than full and open competition. There are two approved sources of supply: L-3 Insight Technology (0B107) and Carson (1XEP3). The FOB point is Destination, Inspection and Acceptance is Origin. Export Control Exists. Contractor First Article Testing (FAT) is required. A sample of 10 each is to be tested. FAT is to be forwarded to: DLA AVIATION 8000 Jefferson Davis Hwy Richmond, VA. 23297 The requested delivery is as follows: FAT 60 days, Govt Evaluation 30 days, and production after FAT approval 169 days. A subcontracting plan is required. Certified cost and pricing data will not be required because this is a commercial item. EEO clearance is not required as the dollar threshold has not been met. Progress payments will not be utilized because the conditions of FAR 32.5 have not been met. Specifications, Plans or Drawings related to the procurement described are not available and cannot be furnished by the Government. The final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price andpast performance. The anticipated issue date is 27 Nov 12, (with a closing date of December 12, 2012), anticipated award date is 31 Dec 12.
