- Description
- The U.S. Food & Drug Administration intends to issue a sole-source purchase order to Rees Scientific Corp for a comprehensive full service plan for the Centron Monitoring System (CMS), serial # 02460 & 02248. The plan must provide the following services: - Technical support via telephone 24 hours a day, 7 days a week - One or more preventive maintenance visit(s) per year as recommended by the manufacturer - All repair or replacement of part and module in the event of failure - All labor, travel, and expenses involved in a service visit. Vendor must provide any necessary service within 10 days of service call. In the chance that parts are required to repair instrument, the vendor must be able to repair instrument to normal operating condition within 30 days of service. - Vendor must demonstrate the ability to obtain the activation code for replacement sensors Place of Performance: Work shall be performed on-site at the location of the instrument. Period of Performance: The period of performance should last one (1) year from the determined start-date. Base Period of Performance: 11/27/2012 thru 11/26/2013 Option Year #1 Period of Performance: 11/27/2013 thru 11/26/2014 Option Year #2 Period of Performance: 11/27/2014 thru 11/26/2015 Option Year #3 Period of Performance: 11/27/2015 thru 11/26/2016 Option Year #4 Period of Performance: 11/27/2016 thru 11/26/2017 Award will be made in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements using Simplified Acquisition Procedures per FAR Part 13. Rees Scientific Corp is the sole-source manufacturer and only known service provider of the CMS. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement within five (5) days after the publication of this synopsis which shall be considered by the agency. Responses received after 5 days or without the required information may not be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete as a result of information received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
