- Description
- The subject structure date of construction is unknown; however, archive documents indicate the age of the structure to be in excess of 100 years. The rectangular building consists of a timber truss framed hip roof supporting a clay tile roof with an approximate 8:12 pitch. The timber trusses are spaced at varying dimensions ranging from approximately 2’-3” o.c. to 2’-8” o.c. The trusses bear on all four of the exterior walls with the hips bearing at the building corners with no interior bearing supports. The exterior masonry walls serve as both gravity bearing and lateral force resisting elements. The masonry walls bear on the concrete walls that constitute the perimeter of the water storage vault located beneath the building. The floor slab of the building is a structural concrete slab supported by the vault perimeter walls per the record drawings. Project Description:
