- Justification and Approval Synopsis: This is not a request for quote; this is a notice of the government's intent to award a firm fixed price contract on a sole source basis to Avenue West pursuant to FAR 6.302-2, Unusual and Compelling / J&A is attached. The US Marine Special Operations Command (MARSOC) intends to aquire specific lodging from 22 Oct 2012 through 20 Nov 2012. This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive quotations, however interested parties may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement by 8:00 AM 7 October 201, EST by e-mail to will.watts@usmc.mil. A determination by the Government not to compete the contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
