- The United States Coast Guard, Surface Forces Logistics Centers, Long Range Enforcer - Contracts & Procurement Branch 2, Oakland, CA anticipates awarding sole source procurement to Superior Lidgerwood Mundy Corp for the following Clean and Lubricate gear racks and pinions, reassemble, clean and install new bushings on hoists, replace and adjust limit switches and limit switch chains, replace hook latches, op-test and adjust as needed to achieve proper operation. These parts are to be received by USCGC Waesche and will be provided by Superior Lidgerwood Mundy Corp who is to be awarded this contract because at this time the material and services for this repair require parts and specialty knowledge from the original equipment manufacturer. Superior Lidgerwood Mundy Corp is the only company with technical data, knowledge and expertise to reliably troubleshoot, provide OEM parts, and provide engineering design data to properly affect repairs and install upgrades. This procurement will be made on behalf of the USCGC Waeshe. Vendor will provide all the parts listed in the Schedule of items. NAICS Code # 332510 applies to this procurement. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. No solicitation will be issued, however all responses received on/before 0700am PST November 9, 2012 will be reviewed by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based on the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals.
