- Description
- Project is a Design-Bid-Build to Repair/Modernization of Research Facility F/20019 at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. The project is approximately 17,000 square feet in size, and includes interior demolition, replacement of the electrical systems, plumbing systems, mechanical systems, reconfiguration of the space for new laboratories, repairs of the slab, and repairs of the structural system. A new mezzanine will be constructed. Work will also include window repair, brick repair, and tuck pointing. The project will contain the following options: (1) Equipment, (2) SRM Exterior Refurbishment, and (3) Comprehensive Interior Design. The acquisition strategy for the solicitation will be a design-bid-build, single phase procurement following the best value procurement process. Proposals will be evaluated based on the following technical factors: Prime Contractor Experience, Prime Contractor Past Performance, Management Plan, Safety, and Price and Pro Forma Requirements. All evaluation factors, other than cost or price, when combined, will be considered equal to cost or price. The estimated price range is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. NAICS is 236220. Contract duration is 544 calendar days. Approximate issue date will be 15 November 2012 and approximate closing date is 20 December 2012. The official closing date and time will be included in the solicitation. The estimated award date is 14 January 2013. A Pre-proposal meeting will be held at Wright-Patterson AFB, the exact date, time and location of which will be noted in solicitation. The solicitation is solely restricted to certified 8(a) firms with a bona fide place of business located within Region 5. Project documents will be issued only via the internet by download at the Federal Business Opportunities (FedBizOpps) website (http://www.fbo.gov). Amendments also will be available only by download at the FedBizOpps website. This announcement serves as the Advanced Notice for this project.
