Description

ECSIII contract holder list The National Institutes of Health Information Technology Acquisition and Assessment Center (NITAAC) intends to negotiate on the basis of other than full and open competition sole source basis for a one year extension with all Electronic Commodity Store (ECS) III prime contract holders (please see attachment for a list of contract holders), under the authority of FAR 6.302-2, "Unusual and compelling urgency". This announcement constitutes the only notice. It is neither a request for proposal nor a solicitation for offers. No contract will be awarded on the basis of offers received in response to this notice. A response to this notice is not required. The period of performance will be a one year extension period from November 26, 2012 to November 25, 2013. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 334111: Electronic Computer Manufacturing with a size standard of 1000 employees. The basis for this action is based upon the fact that: The extension of the ECSIII is essential to the continuity of the NITAAC program. The competitive follow-on contract beyond November 25, 2012 has not yet been advertised. This extension would provide the Government sufficient time to competitive solicited and award the follow-on contract to ECSIII. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Comments to this announcement, referencing this Notice of Intent Number NITAAC-ECSIII-Extension, may be submitted in electronically to the Contracting Officer, Millicent Manning via e-mail at NITAAChelpdesk@mail.nih.gov.
