- ***This is NOT a solicitation for quotes. This is only a Request for Information: Sources Sought to see if any other vendors can meet the requirements.*** The purpose of this procurement is to upgrade the current Medical Measurement Systems (MMS) Esophageal Manometry equipment in the motility lab at the Southern Arizona VA Healthcare System (SAVAHCS). The contractor shall supply and the price shall include all equipment, supplies and all necessary elements required to train staff, deliver and ensure implementation for all deliverables. No additional fees will be paid by the government. SAVAHCS has one of the few motility labs in Southern Arizona, which makes it difficult to send Veteran patients to other locations in the current equipment is not capable of helping them. This equipment is used to diagnose all diseases of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract having to do with motility. This system can measure gastric emptying times, a common and debilitating problem in patients with diabetes, chronic narcotic intake, and other diseases that affect gut movement. The current equipment requires 45 to 60 minutes to complete motility procedures but this new equipment will be able to complete the same procedures in 15 minutes, increasing efficiency and patient satisfaction. If any vendor can meet the below specifications, please respond to this Sources Sought with enough information to demonstrate that these specifications can be met. Required Equipment: oCentral Unit oLCD Monitor oMotility cart w/articulating arm oComputer & printer oCalibration kit, cables & accessories oHigh resolution impedance manometry catheter opH impedence recorder Mandatory Specifications/Functions: oCompatibility to existing equipment oAt least 36 pressure channels and 16 Impedance channels oReusable and single use catheter options oVariety of catheter diameters, to ensure accurate HRM measurement for different patient groups oIntuitive software with remote control leads to simple HRM procedures oEvent-based analysis software, where events can be Resting periods, Swallows, etc. oAutomatic classification of each swallow, and overall study classification per latest edition of the Chicago Classification o3D Esophageal Pressure Topography oExpandable with HRIM, HRSM, HRCM and HRAM features oHRM results can be automatically calculated and marked. oLandmarks for UES and LES locations in the event of catheter movement oCustomizable report software (HRM Reporter) oInclude training pH Impedence Functions: oStationary pH recording oSmall bowel (antroduodenal) manometry (HRSM) oSphincter of Oddi manometry oColonic manometry (HRCM) oNeuro / High Speed EMG and Stimulation o(High Res) Synchronized Video manometry (swallow studies and defecography) ***This is NOT a solicitation for quotes.
