- This is a Sources Sought Notice; there is no solicitation available at this time. Requests for solicitation will receive no response. This Sources Sought Notice is published for market research purposes only. This Sources Sought Notice is conducted to identify potential sources capable of meeting the requirements described below. The Wilkes Barre Veterans Affairs Medical Center (WBVAMC) located at 1111 East End Blvd, Wilkes Barre, PA 18711 requires service for the following Steris sterilizers: Sonic Console, Manufacturer (Mfr) Serial Number (S/N) 3634606006A 60 in. Platform Prevac Ster, Mfr S/N 03123070 60 in. Platform Prevac Ster, Mfr S/N 031150711 REL 444 WSHR DBL P DR 208, Mfr S/N 3615507003 SCS Double Unload, Mfr S/N 3611007002 SCS Double Load, Mfr S/N 3611707008 20 in Cent Vac DD STM Recl, Mfr S/N 012130303 Service shall include all parts and labor necessary components required to perform scheduled PMA inspections as per STERIS established guidelines. Components include, but are not limited to, repair kits, valves, traps, door gaskets, heating elements, and lubricants. Items that are not considered part of this agreement are as follows: expendable items such as chart paper and pens, surgical lamps, and cleaning agents. Also not covered are sonic generators, door replacement, surgical table sub-frame assemblies, welding, pump and motor assemblies, control hardware, equipment modification or refurbishing, optional equipment accessory repair or sterilizer chamber. On a scheduled basis a STERIS authorized service technician shall conducts tests, inspections, and any required repairs to enhance equipment performance. Inspections of equipment will be performed during the hours of 8 a.m. through 5 p.m. EST, Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and holidays. Call back service is included during normal working hours. The applicable NAICS Code is 811219 and the size standard is $19M. All interested parties shall respond, via email, with the following information: Company Name Address Phone Number Point of Contact Teaming Arrangements (i.e. subcontracts) Size Classification (small or large) and Socio-Economic Status (HubZone, Service Disabled Veteran-Owned, etc.) Responses are due by 12:00 PM DST on Monday 22 October 2012 via email to Rachel.Turk@va.gov. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Government will neither award a contract solely on the basis of this notice nor will it reimburse the contractor for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice. This notice does not constitute a Request for Quotation (RFQ), nor does this issuance restrict the Government's acquisition approach. The Government reserves the right to reject in whole or part any industry input as a result of this announcement. The Government recognizes that proprietary data may be a part of this effort. If so, clearly mark such restricted or proprietary data and present it as an addendum to the nonrestricted/non-proprietary information. If the Government decides to award a contract for this or related effort, a solicitation will be published and posted on the FedbizOpps website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the FedBizOpps websites and downloading a copy of the solicitation.
