- POST CONSTRUCTION AWARD SERVICES FOR P220 PROJECT, AMMUNITION SUPPLY POINT, DJIBOUTI NAVFAC Atlantic intends to award a sole source contract for a design change to SAIC. SAIC completed the design, including full plans, specifications and cost estimates for the P220 Project, Ammunition Supply Point, Djibouti. Post Construction Award Services are necessary to complete this project. Based on the firm ™s familiarity with the current design intricacies, expectations of the approving agencies specific to this site and location and the history of the project, it is beneficial for the Government in the interest of economy and efficiency that this requirement is awarded as a sole source, standalone contract to SAIC. SAIC retains the necessary topographic details and design files necessary to accomplish this work, thus they will be able to accomplish the work in a more timely and cost efficient manner than any other firm. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Interested firms may identify and transmit their interest and capability to respond to the requirement to michelle.gooden@navy.mil no later than 3:00 p.m. EDT on 1 November 2012. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competitive basis based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
