- Description
- The Maritime Administration (MARAD) of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) requires the demolition and replacement of the Mallory Pier, located at the United States Merchant Marine Academy (USMMA) in Kings Point, NY. Mallory Pier is comprised of a steel sheet pile solid pier section and a timber pile open pier section. The pier was formerly used for berthing the training vessel Kings Pointer which will be replaced by a vessel of similar design.
