- The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego (FLCSD) Contracting Office intends to award a firm-fixed price (FFP) contract on behalf of the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) (DLA North Island) to Gateway Engineering, Inc., 6534 Clay SW, Grand Rapids, MI 49548. This contract is for services to overhaul and upgrade two (2) Western gearboxes that are in use for testing aircraft components by Code 93301 at the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) (DLA North Island). More specifically, the gearbox is required for the support of F/A-18 C/D Aircraft Mounted Accessory Drive in the shop. The Government has no specifications for this requirement and the assembly drawings associated with the (end) products listed above are proprietary (and not available for sale or distributed through a third party) to Gateway Engineering, Inc., a small business. Thus, Gateway Engineering, Inc., the original equipment manufacturer (OEM), is the only qualified source to fulfill this requirement. This procurement will be conducted under the authority of FAR 13.106(b). THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The applicable CAGE code is 0SYT9 and DUNS code is 620517227. The NAICS code is 333612 and the applicable business size is 500. This procurement action is anticipated to be issued on a sole source basis. A determination by the Government not to compete based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. No solicitation document is available. Interested parties shall submit information that indicates their ability to satisfy this requirement. Responses are due by 23 October 2012, 05:00 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST), via e-mail to the assigned Contract Specialist, Adrian A. Porras, who may be reached through e-mail at Adrian.Porras@navy.mil. For further information or questions regarding this procurement, please contact the assigned Contract Specialist via e-mail. No telephone requests will be entertained. Requests must include company name, address, POC name, telephone number, fax number, county, CAGE Code, DUNS number, NAICS code, applicable business size, and Tax ID number. If no responses are received, NAVSUP FLCSD will proceed with the sole source award.
