- This is sources sought announcement only. The purpose of this notice is to conduct market research and obtain information from qualified businesses with special interest in seeking: Small Businesses (SB); VA certified Service Disabled Veteran owned Business (SDVOSB), Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB) small business concerns; and vendors who hold GSA/FSS schedules. No solicitation is being issued at this time. This notice shall not be construed as a commitment by the Government to ultimately award a contract, nor does it restrict the Government to a particular acquisition approach. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting office 19, and the Grand Junction (GJ) VA Medical Center located: 2121 North Avenue, Grand Junction, Colorado anticipates a requirement for Hasler Model 220 mail equipment service plan located in the GJ VA Medical Center mailroom. Currently, the VA GJ mailroom mails and inserts between 25,000 and 50,000 envelopes/letters separately per month. The current contract which covers maintenance has expired. Continued support for the Hasler postage equipment to include hardware and software is required. The requirement includes all maintenance on hardware to include parts, labor, on-call and emergency repair services. Not included are consumables such as ink, roll tape and sealing solution. The contract will also include updates to software. The contractor shall not be reimbursed for any travel expenses resulting from this contract (per-diem and travel shall be a part of the Offerors fixed - price proposal). The contractor shall not be responsible for repairs caused by accident, misuse, abuse, neglect, theft, riot, vandalism, electrical power failure, fire, water, or other casualty. The appropriate NAICS Code 811212 and the small business size standard are $25.5. Interested firms are reminded that in accordance with FAR 4.12, prospective contractors shall complete electronic annual representations and certifications in conjunction with FAR 4.11 required registration in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award of a contract.
