Description
This synopsis is being posted to both the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov and the Navy Electronic Commerce on Line (NECO) site located at http://www.neco.navy.mil. While it is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitations to the internet, NECO is the alternative in case FBO is unavailable. Please feel free to use either site to access information posted by the Naval Sea Systems Command. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division, Dahlgren, Virginia 22448-5110 intends to procure (quantity of five) AN/USQ-T48(V) Trainer Simulator/Stimulator Systems (TSSS) units used in the Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT) system on a sole source basis to AAI Corporation (AAI). This is a noncommercial procurement. AAI is the only qualified source to provide the TSSS hardware. The AAI Corporation AN/USQ-T48(V) Trainer Simulator/Stimulator Systems (TSSS) units used in the Battle Force Tactical Training (BFTT) system were tested extensively and qualified as part of the approved BFTT Navy ships configuration by the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane, IN, and CDSA Dam Neck, as the BFTT Acquisition Engineering Agent (AEA). The AAI Corporation TSSS are uniquely military items that fill critical support functions in shipboard integrated combat systems training. AAI Corporation is the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the TSSS units in the approved configuration. There are no known resellers of this OEM product. The Government does not possess the design drawings. Only AAI Corporation possesses the design drawings and the software code was developed by AAI at its own private expense for the Digital Radar Landmass Simulator (DRLMS), P/N 33375-70300000-0100. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334111 with a size standard of 1000 people. The closing date is 10:00AM EST on 25 October 2012. The anticipated award date is 12 April 2013. If you have any questions, please send them to alexander.delguidice@navy.mil. Please reference N00178-13-R-1002 on any correspondence
