- Description
- Initial Communication for Industry Regarding AFMC Enterprise Services Initiative Solicitation Number: AFMC_Enterprise_Services As part of a strategic effort to increase efficiency in our acquisition processes, Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC) senior leadership has approved an initiative to streamline the acquisition of engineering and professional services across the Command. The AFMC Enterprise Services site is established to provide a single point for communications and to facilitate industry participation - this site will remain available thru FY14. The result of the initiative will be to standardize the approach for acquiring these services across AFMC and implement multiple award contract programs that aggregate requirements aligning to AFMC's 5 major mission areas of Life Cycle Management, Test, Sustainment, Science and Technology, and Nuclear. Standardization will be employed in the areas of small business treatment, contract type, contract term and simplified and uniform source selection process, both at the basic contract level as well as at the task order level. The intention is to utilize small business firms as prime contractors or members of joint ventures. The goal of this initiative is to increase efficiency by reducing administrative burden through fewer, standardized strategic contracts. This FBO site will be the easiest entry point for industry to follow the acquisitions for these services. The initial strategic effort will be for the Air Force Test Center (AFTC) enterprise program, called Test Mission Advisory Services (TMAS). Information on the TMAS acquisition can be found at: https://www.fbo.gov/index?s=opportunity&mode=form&id=81794ccddf41e66f11a34f992ccd318c&ta=core&_cview=1 The second enterprise services effort will be for the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), to be followed by an enterprise program for the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC). More information related to these two acquisition efforts will be posted as it becomes available. Frequently Asked Q&As, Initial Acquisition Schedules, and other announcements will all be announced through this site. This site will be updated as new information becomes available. Industry is encouraged to register on the site under the "Watch This Opportunity" tab to ensure receiving an e-mail notice whenever an update is posted. Questions may be directed to the AFMC_Enterprise_Services e-mail box: Strat.Sourcing.Suppt@WPAFB.AF.MIL and the Q&A answers will be posted periodically at this site.
