- Marine Corps Systems Command has identified a future requirement to procure up to 300 On-Board Vehicle Power kits (OBVP) for the High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV). The OBVP kit is an add-on capability to provide on-the-move and exportable power for the HMMWV. Mechanical power from the diesel engine is made into electrical power by an engine mounted alternator. In the course of this arrangement, electric power can be exported from the truck for operational requirements. Marine Corps Systems Command anticipates an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Firm Fixed Price (FFP) contract. This effort shall be procured in accordance with FAR Part 15. The Government intends to award multiple contracts for initial effort. The Government anticipates a period of performance shall not exceed 60 months after the date of contract award: One (1) base period with four (4) ordering periods of 12 months each. The anticipated release date of the solicitation is within the next 60 days on FedBizOpps. No solicitation documents exist at this time.
