PST Scope: The YWCA of Greater Los Angeles - Los Angeles Job Corps Center (hereinafter referred to as LAJCC), is a comprehensive residential and non-residential program designed to provide vocational training and to meet the individual needs of each student. LAJCC is operated by the YWCA of Greater Los Angeles. The LAJCC provides a comprehensive residential program to prepare poverty level youth, sixteen (16) through twenty-four (24) years of age, for meaningful employment and the responsibilities of citizenship. The LAJCC is seeking to engage a qualified consultant to provide and implement a Managerial Training and Development Program for LAJCC staff. Tasks:  The Consultant shall provide: o Training and coaching on the fundamentals of individual and organizational growth. o. o Including instruction on the following modules: • Leadership vs. Management • Building Relationships of Trust • Being a Center Leader vs. Department Manager • Developing communication skills • Understanding conflict management • Skilled Decision Making • Conducting Effective Meeting • Providing Praise and Recognition • How to Model, Mentor, & Monitor Success • Public Presentation Skills o Administer competency tests to provide a gauge of the staffs understanding and opportunities for each module. o Follow-up phone training secessions during November 2012, January 2013, and February 2013.  Consultant shall provide manuals (paper and electronic to LAJCC outlining all covered material.  Provide Social Development training according to Job Corps Policy & Requirements Handbook (to be supplied by LAJCC).  Provide in depth training to Program Advisors on Job Corps expectations and requirements.  Training will be held for all supervisory, management, and directorate staff Period of Performance: One Week in the month of October, 2012. **All services and training must be completed by October 31, 2012 Place of Performance: 1020 South Olive Street, Los Angeles, CA 90015 1. All quotes must be submitted via email, fax or in another "soft" copy format (i.e. USB flash drive) on or before the RFQ deadline indicated on Page 1. If a quotation is submitted on a USB flash drive, the LAJCC reserves the right to retain all hardware in response to this RFQ. 2. Bidders shall outline how their company addresses Green Procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) (11.002. 11.303, 13.2, 23.2, 23.4, 52.223-1, 52.223-2, 52.223-15 and 52.223-16) for more FAR details, go to www.arnet.gov.far. 3. This RFQ does not commit LAJCC to pay any preparation, travel charges or related costs incurred in the submission of a quote. LAJCC reserves the right to reject any and all quotes. 4. This RFQ does not commit LAJCC to purchase any amount of said goods and services offered on the list below. 5. Payments shall be made on net 30-day term. No fees, freight, re-stocking, maintenance or charges of any kind will be paid, unless agreed upon for special items before award.
