- This is a SYNOPSIS NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes or proposals and no contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time. Military Sealift Command (MSC) - Norfolk will be issuing a solicitation on or about 01 November 2012 for the Regular Overhaul and Dry-Docking Availability (ROH / DD) of the USNS PATUXENT (T-AO 201) commencing on or about 01 April 2013 for a period of fifty-five (55) calendar days. The USNS PATUXENT has a length of 678 ft, a breadth of 98 ft, an anticipated arrival draft of 20 ft frd and 27ft aft not including a minimum draft clearance of three (3) beneath the keel at mean lower low water (MLLW). The vessel is 20,706 tons gross. Work is to be performed at Contractor's facility on or about the abovementioned dates. Area of consideration is East and/or Gulf Coast. Major work items associated with this availability include: Lifeboat & Davit Maintenance and Testing, No. 1 PTO Clutch & Coupling Overhaul, Main Engine Turbo Charger Overhaul, Overhaul Sea Valves, Prep & Paint JP-5 Contam Tank, Salt Water Pump No. 1 Overhaul, and Stern Tube Sea Maintenance. The Request for Proposals (RFP) will be available on the MSC Contracts page (http://www.msc.navy.mil/) and Federal Business Opportunities (www.fbo.gov) website under Solicitation Number N32205-13-R-1001. The appropriate NAICS code is 336611. Again, THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTES OR PROPOSALS. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this synopsis. There are NO RESPONSES due based on this pre-solicitation notice.
