Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Iowa City VA Medical Center, Iowa City, IA intends to negotiate a SOLE SOURCE procurement under the authority of FAR 6.302.1, FAR 6.302.5, with Becton Dickinson 2350 Qume Dr San Jose, CA 95131-1893. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-61, effective September 13, 2012. The associated NAICS code is 611710 and small business size standard is $7.0 Million. The acquisition is being negotiated as a SOLE SOURCE procurement. SUPPLIES/SVCS 11 CONTRACTOR TO PROVIDE SERVICE 4 QR CONTRACT FOR GOVERNMENT-OWNED FACSCALIBUR, SERIAL NUMBER E5188, FOR THE PERIOD OF 10/1/2012 THROUGH 9/30/2013. COVERAGE INCLUDES TWO (2) PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE INSPECTIONS TO BE PERFORMED DURING A TWELVE-MONTH PERIOD, INCLUDING 2 PM KITS. 24-HOUR GUARANTEED RESPONSE TO A REQUEST FOR EMERGENCY ON-SITE SERVICE. MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, EXCLUDING BD BIOSCIENCES HOLIDAYS. SOFTWARE REVISIONS RELEASED DURING THE AGREEMENT TERM. UNLIMITED SERVICE VISITS, MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY.
