- The Naval Air Systems Command awarded a sole-source fixed price incentive (firm target) definitization modification to Advanced Acquisition Contract N00019-09-C-0022 with The Boeing Company of Seattle Washington for the procurement of eleven (11) P-8A Poseidon Low Rate Initial Production Lot III aircraft. The period of performance is 21 September 2012 through 31 May 2015. The Boeing Company is the sole designer, developer, manufacturer and integrator of the P-8A Poseidon aircraft and is the only source with the knowledge, expertise, facilities, and qualified personnel necessary to accomplish this effort.
