- Description
- The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport will be hosting an Industry Day to discuss the Next Generation Submarine Electronic Warfare System, a replacement for the existing AN/BLQ-10 system. It is anticipated that the base contract requirement will be for all Submarine Electronic Warfare Systems to be upgraded to this new capability. The Next Generation Submarine Electronic Warfare System will create a modular system leveraging advances in computing, digitization, data movement, and Radio Frequency (RF) capture. This system will increase capability through software application and cloud computing technology that will enhance operator efficiency and system automation. This layered architecture includes a RF layer, digitizing layer, information management layer, processing layer, and display and Human Machine Interface (HMI) layer. The Next Generation Submarine Electronic Warfare System Industry Day is scheduled to be held at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) Newport, RI on 8 November 2012.
