TecD Program Background: The purpose of the Sustainability/Logistics Force Basing TeCD is to demonstrate an integrated approach to reducing sustainment requirements for small contingency base operations via a suite of capabilities that reduce the need to deliver water and fuel to the base and the burden of having to collect, manage, and dispose of solid and liquid waste. The purpose of the Force Protection - Basing TeCD is to demonstrate the capability to reduce the percentage of Soldiers needed to set-up a Combat Outpost/Patrol Base (COP/PB) and protect against threats (including small arms, indirect fires, air delivered weapons, and Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and High Yield Explosive (CBRNE)) in austere, restricted terrains. The integrated approach must also decrease tear-down time to no more than 4 days and increase the percentage of material reusable at next COP.
