- Description
- Limited Source Justification The overall object of is to improve the reliability of the distribution system including 12 KV substation; 15KV and 69 KV lines; 15KV -12470 Volt (V)/7200 V distribution transformers and 277/480,120/208 volt services conductors and associated equipment. Request APS to build a new substation to match the capacity of the existing substation currently at Luke AFB. The new design shall provide current technology and all required safety and security requirements. The specific objectives for the Luke AFB substation project; are to provide the required transformers, switchgears, relays, disconnect switches, battery system, communications equipment, Remote monitoring system, All utilities I.E, electrical, water, A/C, offices, buildings, parking lots, site security, Security Fence, Fire alarm and all associated equipment required for a functional substation. The substation will be used to convert high voltage transmission electricity to low voltage distribution electricity. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, material, manufactured articles, transportation, supervision, and all else necessary to accomplish the construction of this project. This project will be executed using Design-Build. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing complete and usable facilities upon the completion of the work.
