- Freezer perspective This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is set-aside 100% for small-business only. Solicitation/Purchase Request Number F2KBAD2142A004B is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). This document incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-58, Effective 13 Sep 2012. CLIN 0001 Modular walk-in freezer of dimension 10 ft wide, 18 ft long, 9 ft inch tall and maximizing interior space. Cooling coils should be in unit ceiling. Ceiling should be capable of being suspended such that walls can be removed as need while leaving ceiling coils in place, ie. walls will be suspended from ceiling rather than ceiling supported by walls. Flooring will be supplied by user. Unit should be capable of maintaining -40F assuming user-provided floor insulation to meet or exceed vendor supplied insulation in ceiling and walls and an ambient temperature of 70F inside an air conditioned building. Unit will be used in an intermittent fashion - a few days at a time, but will generally be in an unpowered state with the walls removed. Unit should have an access door ~36" wide with a viewport with the left edge approximately 3ft from the NE corner of the unit as shown in attached figure. Unit should consume a maximum of 90A@208V. Unit should have Two (2) 24inx24in viewports on the center of the South wall with the lower edge of the lower window as close to the floor as practicable and the upper window centered at nominal viewing height - 5ft6 inch from floor as shown in attached figure. Primary attachment for electrical, plumbing etc. should be on the eastern half of the unit, as shown in attached figure. Compressor and condenser coils should be capable of being installed 20' from the Eastern edge of the freezer ceiling, exterior to the building, connected with flexible, insulated tubing to the main unit. Walls should not have any electrical, plumbing or pneumatic attachments. User will complete installation and provide support structure to suspend ceiling.
