- MARKET RESEARCH/REQUEST FOR INFORMATION. NO SOLICITATION DOCUMENT EXISTS. The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville is conducting a market survey to determine the availability of vendors capable of providing the Trident Refit Facility Logistic Technical Data Center (LTDC) Kings Bay, GA with Internet data information subscriptions for their technical library. These subscriptions are provided through the Internet and include various Military Specifications, Naval Instructions and Directives, Industry Standards, Vendor Catalogs and Logistics Information. The Logistic Technical Data Center provides technical documentation support to the submarine fleets during refit and emergency repairs. The critical nature associated with after-hours and weekend support of the submarine repair work, accompanied with limited time to accomplish submarine refits, requires that the Trident Refit Facility Logistic Technical Data Center (TRFLTDC) obtain an Internet Data Information Subsciption Service. This service includes all military/government and industry (non government) standards and documents to include various military specifications, naval instructions and directives, industry standards, vendor catalogs and logistics information, as detailed herein. The anticipated period(s) will begin 30 September 2012 and will consist of a one (1) year base period and four (4) twelve month option periods. A firm fixed price contract is anticipated. It is anticipated that the Request for Proposal will be issued in the on or around 23 August 2012. Interested vendors are requested to submit a capability statement outlining their ability to meet or exceed this potential requirement no later than 2:00 pm (Eastern Standard Time), 13 August 2012, stating their business size, as well as a point of contact. The government will use the results of this announcement to determine whether the acquisition of the above described requirement should be solicited as a sole source requirement, or whether full and open competitive procedures should be utilized. The Government will not pay or provide reimbursement for any costs incurred in the preparation or delivery of the request for information.
