- Sources Sought: THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a request for proposal. There will not be a solicitation issued at this time. The Department of Veterans' Affairs, Service Area Office East (SAO East), is conducting market research for the license access of Hayes Medical Technology Brief Service, Search and Summary, Directory, News Service and Core Research Support. The intent is to award a Firm Fixed Price contract via FedBid. The specifics are as follows: Access to Hayes Health Technology Assessment and Consulting is used by our appeals and nursing staff to assist them on making information based clinical decisions on the services being provided for our beneficiaries. They use it by finding out if the procedure the beneficiary as received is well tested, evidence based, FDA approved, and if it is the best procedure used for that particular service. With this new technology and new procedures, there is more opportunity for cost savings for our beneficiaries' healthcare. This access provides us with comparative effectiveness reviews, evidence-based coverage policy and guidelines, clinical guidelines, patient safety and quality initiates, program evaluation, and a procedure grading system. This notice is published to conduct market research to determine if there is a sufficient number of certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) or Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB) capable of performing the requirements to warrant a solicitation set-aside. It is required that interested parties register in the US Department of Veterans Affairs Vet Biz database and MUST BE CVE CERTIFIED. Registration may be accomplished at https://www.vip.vetbiz.gov/. Interested parties responding to this sources sought request shall submit the following information at a minimum: company name and address, point of contact with phone number and email address, NACIS code, DUNS number and proof of CVE Certification in the VA Vet Biz website. The response date to this Sources Sought notice is Aug 13, 2012 at 2:00 pm. This market research is for informational and planning purposes only to determine if a SDVOSB or VOSB set-aside is appropriate. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted.
