- Description
- This contract is for custodial and related services with a Performance-Based Statement of Work (PBSOW) for custodial and related services for Oxbow Building at the Federal Center South Campus in Seattle, WA (WA0961KC). As a performance-based contract, the requirements are stated in terms of desired results with associated quality standards. The contract shall consist of two major functional areas: standard services, and above standard services. The GSA Oxbow Building is a new building currently nearing completion. The Request for Proposal is to be issued on or about August 24, 2012, with a site visit to be held on or about August 29, 2012. Offers will be due September 10, 2012. The Contractor shall furnish all personnel, labor, equipment, material, tools, supplies, supervision, management, and services, except as may be expressly set forth as Government furnished, and otherwise do all things necessary to, or incident to, perform and provide the work efforts described in this performance work statement. The performance of the limited scope cleaning for 38 days shall be from Sept 14, 2012 to Oct 31, 2012 and shall take place between 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays. The full cleaning performance of this contract shall start, Nov 1, 2012 and shall take place between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding Federal holidays This building represents a major initiative toward sustainability and energy efficiency. GSA worked closely with the building's architectural firm and sole tenant, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, to design a building that is Gold LEED rated and will be the most energy efficient federal building in this region. The Oxbow building makes extensive use of recycled materials (used for features like unfinished wood surfaces) and non-traditional finishes that will require special attention. It also has extensive glass (including an atrium) for passive solar light and heat, and will use rainwater for non-potable needs. Please note: GSA plans on referring this requirement to the AbilityOne Program at the end of 5 year contract period of performance."
