- Description
- The requirement is for floating crane services at the Naval Submarine Base New London, Groton, CT The scope of work includes providing a floating crane capable of lifting 45,000 lbs at a radius of 50' (no height issues). Must be capable of mooring alongside submarine hull without damage and have a draft no greater than 6'. Include operator and rigger. Crew and crane must be capable of moving around to different pier job sites at Sub Base. Must provide tug and crew to mobilize, demobilize and reposition crane as needed for work at Submarine Base New London. The proposed contract will be an indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract for a base period of 12 months, with four 12-month options. This procurement is unrestricted under NAICS 238990; Size Standard is $14,000,000 The Government intends to award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror with the lowest price. The solicitation will be available after 23 August, 2012 Navy Electronic Commerce On-line web site at https://www.neco.navy.mil. Prospective contractors must register in the DOD Central Contractor Registration Database prior to award. Bidders are notified that failure to register may render their firm ineligible for award. Specifications and drawings will not be directly provided in a paper hard copy format or CD-ROM. The address for downloading this solicitation from the internet is https://www.neco.navy.mil. All prospective bidders are encouraged to register on the above web site for this procurement when specifications and drawings become available. Plan holders will be maintained on and can be printed from the web site. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (i.e. amendments) shall be made only on the web site. It is therefore the bidder ™s responsibility to check the web site daily for any posted changes to the solicitation
