- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Solicitation # is SAQMMA12R0317 and is issued as a Request for Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provision and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-58. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) is 423620. This requirement is a small business set aside, with a small business size standard of 100 employees and only qualified offerors may submit quotes. The Department of State requires the following items - Brand name or Equal - meeting the following requirements. Line item 1 - Single Station Ionization Smoke Alarm, specifically designed for residential and institutional applications featuring a fully insect screened dual ionization smoke sensing chamber, an 85dB horn, a supervised 9V alkaline battery power supply, a full function test switch, a silence feature, a red LED light that indicates DC power or alarm. Model BRK FG250AB Silence with Alkaline Battery The smoke alarm must comply with UL, FHA, HUD, and NFPA safety standards. The alarm must detect products of combustion using the ionization technique. Quantity 6,000 Line item 2 - Shipping and handling - if applicable Delivery - 25 calendar days after award Place of Delivery: 1701 N Fort Myer Drive Arlington, Va. 22209 The selected Offeror must comply with the following commercial item terms and conditions. FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors - Commercial, applies to this acquisition. FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The following FAR clauses in paragraph (b) of FAR clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, will apply: 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222-36, 52.222-37, 52.225-13, 52.232-34. Offerors that fail to furnish required representations or information, or reject the terms and conditions of the solicitation may be excluded from consideration. The offeror agrees to hold the prices in its offer firm for 30 calendar days from the date specified for receipt of offers. CCR Requirement - Company must be registered on Central Contractor Registration (CCR) before an award could be made to them. If company is not registered in CCR, they may do so by going to CCR web site at http://www.ccr.gov. Quotes should be submitted via e-mail to Linda Dinkel at DinkeLLL@state.gov no later than closing date of solicitation 5:00pm Eastern Time, Friday, July 20, 2012.
