- Request for Quote This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a near-shore vessel charter. The Government may award a firm-fixed-price order in accordance with FAR Parts 12 & 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures estimated not to exceed $100,000.00. This is a total small business set-aside. The NAICS code for this requirement is 483114 with a 500 employee size standard. The Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC), Resource Assessment and Conservation Engineering (RACE) division has a requirement for a vessel charter in the Nelson Lagoon-Port Moller area. The charter will sample fish and habitat in depths shallower than approximately 15 fathoms using small bottom trawls and other scientific gear that may require beach seining. The period of performance is from August 1, 2012 through September 28, 2012 with ten (10) charter days. All interested concerns must submit a quotation and documentation (i.e. boat specifications, etc) demonstrating the qualifications to provide this charter as described above by July 20, 2012 at 10:00am Pacific time. The vessel requirements are stated in the RFQ with the Statement of Work. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. A firm-fixed-price order may be issued on or before August 1, 2012. All responses must be in writing. A Request for Quote (RFQ) with the Statement of Work and clauses is incorporated as an attachment as part of this notice. All vendors doing business with the Government are required to be registered with the Central Contractor Registry (CCR) at https://www.bpn.gov/ccr/ and the On-Line Representations and Certifications Application (ORCA) at https://orca.bpn.gov/. NO award can be made unless the vendor is registered in CCR and ORCA. In order to register with the CCR and ORCA all offerors must also have a Dun & Bradstreet Number.
